Agricultural Wind Turbines

The CB 30

The CB 30 is the first wind turbine designed specifically to meet the demands of today’s rural energy intensive business operations. Most medium sized wind turbines are designed to be compatible with three phase electric service. Some can be retrofitted to work with single phase service. This change diminishes performance and adds cost to the system. The CB 30 was designed with the intention of working with both single and three phase applications out of the box, without sacrificing performance or adding cost.

The CB 30 has a number of features normally reserved for larger utility grade turbines:
Active Yaw
Unlike many of its competitors who use a tail or passive downwind yaw control, the CB 30 is equipped with a robust active yaw system. This enables the turbine to track even slight changes in wind direction and react accordingly.

Active Pitch
This feature twists the blades of the turbine, making sure that the blades are at the optimum pitch at all times. When the machine starts in low wind, the blades become more aggressive in order to take maximum advantage of the wind currents. In high wind, the blades can become less aggressive in order to keep the machine on line and producing during high wind situations.

Redundant Sensors
Too often a turbine’s production is brought to a  halt by the failure of a single sensor. CB Wind Systems designed its turbine with at least two sensors monitoring every critical system components ensuring the failure of a single system component won’t cause the system to go offline.

Active Monitoring
As with all equipment it’s important that the wind turbine is monitored closely to make sure it is performing at optimal levels. CB Wind Systems realizes that your system may not always be located in a convenient location for you to monitor it yourself. That is why every CB Turbine comes with the option of enhancing active remote monitoring. If there is a problem with your system, a message is sent to CB Wind System’s offices alerting them of the issue. Most of the time it can simply be fixed remotely. Should service be required CB Wind Systems can dispatch a repair crew without you having to do anything. Active monitoring gives you the freedom to not worry about your system’s performance.

Expected Performance at Various Wind Levels
12 MPH Wind – 75,000 kWh per year
14 MPH WInd – 90,000 kWh per year
16 MPH WInd – 105,000 kWh per year

Vestas V27

The Vestas V27 wind turbine is the ideal solution for high volume energy users seeking an effective way to stabilize their energy costs while making a positive impact on the environment. This system is centered around the robust and tested Vestas V27 wind turbine platform which has undergone an extensive remanufacturing and reconditioning process. The end product gives the user years of worry free power production at a reasonable cost.
