Industrial Wind Turbines

Mitsubishi 600
Since the 1980s, Mitsubishi has pioneered the development of high-efficiency wind turbines that make environmentally-benign wind generation more productive and profitable. Currently, more than 1380 Mitsubishi wind turbines are in operation worldwide, with an impressive record of availability. The Mitsubishi 600 is a robust large wind turbine that offers a great annual output for larger energy needs.

Vestas V17
The Vestas V17/75kW is a three bladed horizontal axis wind turbine with active yaw that features a 17m diameter rotor.Torque from the rotor is transmitted through the main shaft to the gear box and then through a high speed shaft to the asynchronous generators. As an upwind turbine, the rotor is positioned in front of the tower with respect to the wind’s direction, allowing the wind turbine to extract maximum power immediately from the wind while avoiding interference from the tower. For over-speed protection, the rotor is equipped with centrifugally activated “tip-brakes” which pivot 90 degrees and act as an aerodynamic brake.

Vestas 19
The Vestas V19 wind turbine is a 100kW turbine which has a 60-foot diameter rotor and is on an 80-foot monopole tower. This turbine generates enough power for 45 energy-efficient homes, or a business.
